We've been awfully busy around here with Melissa's new job, Daniel's travel and whatnot. New pictures will be up soon but while you're waiting, some news on Ruth:
We found out she can recite her numbers at Chanukah. As Daniel lit the 5th candle, I counted "one, two, three..." after I said "five," she finished "six, ev-en, eight, nine, ten!" We don't think she knows she's counting, really, but just saying the words is great.
Ruth knows all her colors (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, pink, purple, brown, black, white) and points them out regularly when we get dressed.
She knows some of her shapes -- heart, star, diamond are consistent but she mixes up square and rectangle and circle and oval. But hey, she's not even two.
Ruth continues to be a very busy, very verbal kid. She wants us to read to her all.the.time; requests drawings of moons, stars, trucks, and more; says she is "going to work" and gets her Wonder Woman lunchbox; loses her patience and has temper tantrums (see: almost two); asks for hugs frequently; loves her Daniel's parents something fierce; is generally pretty awesome.
