Ruth's Six Month Appointment

Ruth had her six month appointment this morning. She weighed in at 15 lbs. 10 oz. Her head grew 3/4" in two months to 16.75". She measured 26.5 inches, up 3/4" since her 4-month-appointment. Everything is between the 50th and 75th percentile.

She also got her first tooth! The bottom teeth are just about in -- the one on the right is above the gum line while the one on the left is just starting to break through.

We're getting some cream since she has a patch of eczema on her ear. And we're expanding the fiber in diet for what should be an obvious reason.

Ruth had a few more vaccinations in series and her first flu shot (she goes back in a month for the 2d flu shot.)

Being held by great-tante Cori (in the background, L to R: cousin Ali, uncle David, Meli)

Uncle David is very suprising!

Food Update

I think it's time: we've been asked to bring more frozen milk to daycare, since she's tearing through it. She's absolutely fascinated by anyone eating. And she kept launching herself at the bowl when we were trying to feed her apples the other day (she likes apples, apparently).

So, tonight I'll be making ice cube trays of mushy apples. Mmmm.

Grammy Recordings

Did anyone who reads this manage to download the recordings of Grammy that I put up a little while ago? My originals got stolen along with my laptop and backup (dammit!) and the filesharing service I linked to seems to have lost them.

I really hope someone has the files.

Let's see if this works...

Growin' - Day 170

Remember this stick?

It's grown (along with the peanut snuggled down in the sling in the old picture).

Day 169 - I am not sure that I want to sit down and eat peaches.

From 21st Century Digital Kid

No, wait, maybe I like those. (Dad liked the color on these pictures better without the flash, but the low light levels made them blurry.)

These are pretty good. (Mom confirmed that some peaches actually went in Ruth's belly, by... uh, let's just say that she was able to confirm that some peaches went all the way through.)

The ones with the flash on look like they were taken in 1973, for some reason.

This spoon is good, too. Can I eat it? (We won't let her do this when she has teeth to crack.)
