BUT DARN IT WE HAVE A DESK AND A BOOKSHELF FOR THIS CHILD.
My aunt Connie was in town last weekend and we found the desk at an antique store in Hampden. It's super-cute (and was a steal at the price), but I suspect we're just ensuring that we're going to raise a total jock.

I think you got your priorities where they should be. I was always sorry I did not buy a big oak roll top when it was on auction at a really good price as the price has gone up so much on them. Why should your child not be the first to have a good desk and bookcase? If you want to I can help with some gym equipment too!?
